As this phrase indicates, our workplace safety programs begin with the premise that no amount of workplace injuries are acceptable.

We take safety seriously and invest heavily in safety training and education for employees and persons receiving services. Managers are required to attend monthly safety training sessions and return to their workers to distribute specific safety information. Employees take an active role in safety awareness. Each worksite maintains a safety committee that meets monthly, all departments hold regular safety meetings, and a team of internal safety inspectors make random visits to all company facilities. The company endeavors to instill the philosophy that safety is the focus of daily job performance among all workers.

Responsibility for safety includes the practices of total quality management to health and safety issues – prompt reporting of accidents and near misses, precisely investigating accidents, analyzing worker’s compensation claims for trends, establishing reduction goals and timetables, and pursuing those goals through detailed action plans. The company has established a goal to reduce worker’s compensation claims by 30 percent this fiscal year.
